New Delhi: Air Marshal Arup Raha is presently the Vice Chief of Indian Air Force. He is a fighter pilot and holds over 3,400 hours of flying experience.He will take over as IAF chief on 31st December 2013.
Raha was born in West Bengal.He had his early education at Sainik School, Purulia.
He joined Indian Air Force in December 1974.He is the senior most three-star officer in the force.
During a career spanning over 39 years, he has held various command, staff and instructional appointments in the force.
