Know about Delhi BJP leader Dr. Harsh Vardhan's life

New Delhi: Dr. Harsh Vardhan is an ENT surgeon and an important leader of BJP.He has never lost an election to the Vidhan Sabha, and has served in various capacities in the state cabinet during BJP's reign (1993–98), including Health Minister, Law Minister and Education Minister still no one knew him until the time he was officially announced as BJP's Chief Minister Candidate on 23 October for 2013 Delhi Assembly Elections.He is a man with a clean image in politics according to reports during his stint as the Health Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan also started free Sunday clinics for senior citizens.BJP's decision to name Harsh Vardhan as Chief Minister Candidate proves right as he won with a huge margin in the capital.He became a member of Legislative Assembly of Delhi in 1993 after contesting an election from East Delhi's Krishna Nagar constituency of Delhi.Since then he has never lost an election to the Vidhan Sabha.He is born and brought up in Delhi.He resides in Krishna Nagar, Delhi.He completed his schooling from Anglo Sanskrit Victoria Jubilee Senior Secondary School, Daryaganj, in 1971.He did his graduation in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College, Kanpur.Dr. Vardhan's nickname is Kuku. He was inspired to become a doctor by his fulfilled his late grandfather in 1979.Dr. Harsh Vardhan specialises in otolaryngology, a branch of medicine and surgery that specialises in the treatment of disorders of the head and neck. One of the landmark achievements in Harsh Vardhan's professional journey has been the launch of Polio Eradication Plan in October 1994.He penned down a book named “A Tale of Two Drops” that narrates the story about the mass campaign that he launched.Dr. Harsh Vardhan is married to Nutan, and they have two sons and a daughter.
