New Delhi, Jun 30: What will be a biker's dream? Go on a road trip with a bike to the highest motorable road in the world.
Royal Enfield flagged off its Himalayan odyssey 10th edition on June 22 from Delhi's India Gate.
The expedition will be of 27 days and during this period the riders will reach Khardung La pass which is at 18365 ft above sea level and cover 2700 kms in 27 days. The group will reach Delhi on July 8.
The trip started with 100 riders from India Gate. They were divided into two groups.
They reunited today in Leh where they was a slow race, assembly war, carry your bike etc.
This caravan of motorbikes will face terrible challenges on their way to Khardung la via Parwanoo, Narkanda, Keylong, Sarchu via Kalpa and the Kaza region.
This road trip will challenge the mettle of bikers with extremely difficult roads of Kalpa and Kaza which are famously known for the same and the sand dunes of Hunder.
This edition of Himalayan Odyssey also reached a new milestone of 100 riders both Indians and foreign nationals, and riders hailing from small towns like Bareilly, Vizag, and Kannur.
Before the trip began, the riders underwent medical tests, extensive training and overhauled their bike to make it fit for the tough terrain. A team of doctors, mechanics also accompanied the cavalcade throughout their expedition.

"It is this love of pure unadulterated motorcycling that brings the riders together from all over the world and bond over their common passion of riding on a Royal Enfield to the Himalayas."
