Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in a video-conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has sought relaxations in economic activities in non-containment zones of the national capital. "Economic activities should be allowed to resume in all parts of Delhi except containment zones," he told the prime minister.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh pitched for the extension of the lockdown but with a carefully crafted strategy, backed by fiscal and economic empowerment of the states, to save lives and secure livelihood.
Meanwhile, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao urged Modi not to resume train services citing further spread of the virus. He said that lockdown should be confined to the containment zones and be continued.
