Jamshedpur, Sep 18 : Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda will visit Ahmedabad tomorrow to express solidarity with his Gujarat counterpart, Narendra Modi, who was on three-day Sadbhavana fast since yesterday.
“I will visit Ahmedabad to support Modiji, who is observing the fast for a good cause,” Munda told PTI today.
Gujarat Chief Minister was being praised world-wide for his good governance and rapid development the state has achieved while the Congress was on an anti-Modi campaign for political reasons, said Munda, also a BJP leader. Modi began his three-day fast yesterday for “peace, unity and communal harmony” in the BJP-ruled state in Gujarat.
Referring to the performance of his own BJP led coalition government in Jharkhand, Munda said the mineral-rich state has improved its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as well as per capita income.“Presently, our GDP rate was 10 plus against the growth rate of 9.6 as exhibited by the Planning Commission in the 11th five year plan report,” he said adding that the government has initiated steps to improve it further.
The per capita income of the state too was improved but the state had raised objection to certain issues before the Prime Minister recently over calculating the figure, the chief minister said. The government was taking measures to improve the life standard of BPL families, he said. PTI
