Jet Airways separates a Mumbai man from his family

Ahmedabad: A Mumbai-based business man has complained against Jet Airways after the airline allowed his wife and two children to fly to Rajkot, but stopped him from boarding the flight. Arjun Singh, who owns mobile

Rajput's boarding pass did not mention a seat number, but bore the letters SBY (meaning standby). Why the airline put him on standby while allotting the rest of his family seats on the flight is unclear.

A Jet Airways spokesperson denied the allegations. “The guest was escorted with a standby boarding pass to the gate so he could be accepted against a gate no-show but every body was on board,” she said.  “We have made a wait-list booking for the guest on the next flight and will try and help him out.”

Singh denies saying, the next flight too was also full, and on Sunday evening, he was asked to wait till Monday.

Singh said, his wife and children had no money to move around in Rajkot, and he would seek redressal from consumer court.
