Hisar, Haryana, Feb 22: Jat protesters continued their protests on the rail tracks here for the fourth day today after talks broke down yesterday ober OBC reservation for Jat community.
Haryana minister Randeep Singh Surjewala had a closed door meeting with the leaders of the protesters for several hours, but nothing concrete came out of the negotiations.
The protesters are demanding withdrawal of cases against Jat demonstrators, but the state government says most of the cases have gone to the courts.
On OBC reservation, the state government's stand was that it was already being looked into by a commision and is outside the purview of the state.
