Post-paid mobile services in Jammu and Kashmir are likely to resume on Saturday. The development is significant considering abrogation of Article 370 from the state of Jammu and Kashmir in the month of August. Media reports, quoting Jammu and Kashmir officials said that pre-paid mobile services will be resumed later. Mobile services were suspended in parts of Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370 in the first month of August.
About two-thirds of the total mobile users in Jammu and Kashmir are post-paid users. The move to ease restrictions in terms of postpaid services has come days after Jammu and Kashmir administration decided to open the region for tourist activities. Fixed-line telephone have been fully restored already in the month of September.
