International Flower Show in Sikkim
Gangtok, Feb 18: Sikkim Governor Balmiki Prasad Singh on Sunday formally unveiled the curtain raiser to the 2nd International Flower Show at the well-landscaped 10 acres Saramsa Gardens, 12 km from the state capital Gangtok
The international participants and flower-growers who would showcase their floral cultivations in the five-day long festival includes Australia, New Zealand, Holland, US, Taiwan, Nepal and Thailand.
The International Flower Show Sikkim 2013 aims to promote the floriculture industry in Sikkim and ultimately promote the state as a main floriculture destination.
The organizers hope to pull in about 2,00,000 visitors during the 10 day mega flower show. The flower fest will end on February 27.
