New Delhi: India witnessed some historic moments during 2013, which can be called milestone's in the nation's history.Here is a list of five such major milestone dates relating to India during 2013: : Tejas enters air force service- Dec 20,2013Tejas Light Combat Aircraft, after 30 years of toil and heartbreak, was inducted by Indian Air Force on December 20, 2013. It is India's indigenous light combat aircraft , the lightest military jet in its class.It got initial operational clearance, paving the way for its induction into the Indian Air Force (IAF). Sachin Tendulkar retires after 200th Test- Nov 16,2013Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket after playing his 200th and final Test. India went on to win the second and final Test against the West Indies in Mumbai by innings and 126 runs to seal the series 2-0 and present Tendulkar with a perfect farewell gift.India successfully launches its Mars Orbiter- Nov 5, 2013India's ambitious Rs.450 crore space mission to Mars was launched on Nov 5 from the Indian Space Research Organisation's Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.An ISRO Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle launched the probe on its 300-day trek into orbit around the Red Planet.
