Jaipur: The Rajasthan unit of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Wednesday arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly working for banned organisation ISIS.
The individual, identified as Mohammed Sirazudin, was working as a Marketing Manager for state-owned Indian Oil Corporation in Jaipur and was allegedly urging the Muslim youth through social networking sites to join the Islamic State, sources said.
ATS officials said the Sirazudin had been under watch of the anti-terror wing for the last three months. His social networking accounts were also placed under scrutiny after the ATS received concrete information of his involvement. Sirazudin was picked up from the Jawahar Nagar area of Jaipur and has been arrested under appropriate sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, officials said.
As per official sources, Sirazudin was propagating the ideologies of the IS and urging the youth to join the militant organisation.
ATS officials have also seized some objectionable material from his residence in Jaipur, including ISIS' online magazine "Dabik", pictures, and a video from his possession.
