This year is the 10th edition of the Awards and this edition had over 31 categories including sports, beauty, social service, media, dance, theatre, television, politics, choreography, jewellery designing, actress of the decade, bravery, global reportage among others.
“It is heartening to see that our initiative has grown from strength to strength over the years. It has also become more meaningful as, through it, we are protesting female foeticide in the form of BETI. I am glad that so many women achievers from different genres have participated over the last 10 years. This kind of awareness truly makes it a platform that celebrates being a woman,” says Shashi Ranjan, Founder of GR8 Women Awards.
Last year, the Gr8 Women Achievers Awards was held in Mumbai attended by the likes of Zarine khan, Mugdha Godse, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Dia Mirza, Aarti Chhabria, Yukta Mookhey, Archana Kochhar, Shama Sikander, Arya Babbar, Shabana Azmi, Reshmi Ghosh, Asha Parekh, Javed Akhtar, Aruna Irani, Dheeraj Kumar, Bhagyashree, Himalaya, and Saroj Khan.
