New Delhi: Rajat Sharma, India TV chairman and Editor-in-chief, will be the new President of NBA (News Broadcasters Association).
The apex body of Indian news channels, News Broadcasters Association, made this announcement after its annual general meeting today.
Rajat Sharma was earlier holding the position of Honorary Treasurer at NBA. He is best known for his popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat'. The show has been captivating viewers for last 18 years. He has grilled over 750 personalities in the longest running television show in India's television history.
This show got him the 'Best Anchor' felicitation several times, including the Indian Television Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. Before branching out into television, Rajat Sharma made a mark with a distinguished 10-year tenure in the print media, where he was the editor of important national publications.
NBA has appointed following board members as its office bearers for the year 2014-15:
Rajat Sharma – President (Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, India TV)
Ashok Venkatramani – Vice President (CEO, ABP News, MCCS (I) Pvt. Ltd.)
Anurradha Prasad – Honorary Treasurer (Chairperson-cum-Managing Director, News24 Broadcast India Ltd.)
