He was responding a question on army's preparedness on tackling challenges while talking about the joint Indo-Russia exercise INDRA-2013.
The senior officer said India shares a very special relationship with Russia and officers who have undertaken this training will remember this exercise for a long time.
During the exercise conducted as per the UN charter, the troops of the two sides are exercising in situations and scenarios similar to the one in South Sudan where Indian troops had come under rebel attack recently.
This exercise assumes significance in wake of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's recent visit to Moscow where both nations called for joint action against terrorism.
