New Delhi: Delhiites today woke up to a humid morning with humidity levels crossing 90 per cent. The minimum temperature settled at 25 degrees Celsius, which was one notch below normal. The maximum temperature is expected to climb up to 32 degrees.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) heavy rain is expected to lash Delhi and its adjoining areas on Monday.
"Sky will remain generally cloudy and light rains and thundershowers may occur in some parts of the national capital today," said a MeT official.
The national capital had on Sunday received short spells of heavy rain which lowered the maximum temperature to 32.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
The city had recorded 82.1 mm rain during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 AM.
Widespread rains had yesterday lashed the national capital region keeping the mercury below normal levels even as people faced major traffic snarls at many places.
