Shimla: Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), country's premier research institute, will take up new research projects on Indian traditions and its multi-culture components in the coming years.
“The institute is the most appropriate place for initiating new research projects on Indian traditions and its multi-culture components and comparative studies and search on Western traditions and Eastern philosophies can also be taken up,” newly-appointed chairperson of the institute Chandrakala Padia said yesterday.
“Fining the richness in the Indian intellectual growth in ancient traditions, which has been my areas of work during past over three decades, shall continue to remain focus of my priorities,” she said while interacting with mediapersons.
She said all ongoing projects will get support to ensure that work is done in a time-bound manner.
