The I.N.D.I.A (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) bloc parties on Friday adopted a resolution to jointly contest the forthcoming elections to the Lok Sabha in 2024 as far as possible. It was also decided that the seat-sharing formula will be finalised by September 30 by the I.N.D.I.A bloc coordination committee, sources said.

"We, the INDIA parties, hereby resolve to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections together as far as possible. Seat-sharing arrangements in different states will be initiated immediately and concluded at the earliest in a collaborative spirit of give-and-take. We, the INDIA parties, hereby resolve to organize public rallies at the earliest in different parts of the country on issues of public concern and importance," the resolution said. "We, the INDIA parties, hereby resolve to coordinate our respective communications and media strategies and campaigns with the theme Judega Bharat, Jiteega India in different languages. Judega BHARAT, Jeetega INDIA!" the resolution read.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, former party chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader MK Stalin, among others, participated in the meeting.

Amid speculation of early polls and the formation of a panel to explore the possibility of 'one nation, one election', top leaders of the Opposition bloc I.N.D.I.A on Friday initiated crucial discussions to give structure to their cooperation and crystallise their plans about seat sharing and a common agenda to take on the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Coordination Committee
A 13-member coordination committee was also formed which included NCP chief Sharad Pawar and AAP leader Raghav Chadha. KC Venugopal (Congress), TR Baalu (DMK), Hemant Soren (JMM), Sanjay Raut (Shiv Sena-UBT), Tejashwi Yadav (RJD), Abhishek Banerjee (TMC), Javed Ali Khan (SP), Lalan Singh (JDU), D Raja (CPI), Omar Abdullah (National Conference) and Mehbooba Mufti (PDP) are other members of the panel. One more member from the CPM will be part of the coordination committee later.This was I.N.D.I.A bloc third meeting

Gurdeep Singh Sappal (Congress), Sanjay Jha (JDU), Anil Desai (Shiv Sena-UBT), Sanjay Yadav (RJD), PC Chako (NCP), Champai Soren (JMM), Kiranmoy Nanda (SP), Sanjay Singh (AAP), Arun Kumar (CPM), Binoy Viswam (CPI), Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi (NC), Shahid Siddiqui (RLD), NK Premachandran (RSP), G Devarajan (AIFB), Ravi Rai (CPI-ML), Thol Thirumavalavan (VCK), KM Kader Mohideen (IUML) and Jose K Mani (KCM), Tiruchi Siva (DMK), Mehboob Beg (PDP) have been declared as campaign committee members. The Mamata Banerjee-led TMC to give a name later.

Supriya Shrinate (Congress), Sumit Sharma (RJD), Ashish Yadav (SP), Rajeev Nigam (SP), Raghav Chadha (AAP), Avindani (JMM), Iltija Mehbooba (PDP), Pranjal (CPM), Dr Bhalchandran Kango (CPI), Ifra Jan (NC) and V Arun Kumar (CPI-ML), Dayanidhi Maran (DMK), Rohit Jakhad (RLD) have been declared as members of the Working Group for Social Media. The Trinamool Congress has decided to give a name later.
