Jammu: Three terrorists wearing army uniform came in a hijacked civilian truck on Thursday morning from Hiranagar.
They first shot the sentry at the gate and ran towards the Officers' Mess.
The terrorists were shouting slogans "Allaho Akbar".
Army officer Lt Col Bikramjit came outside to assess the situation. The terrorists shot him point blank. Col A. Uthaya was also injured.
Army jawans then mowed down two fedayeen terrorists. This happened at around 8 am at the 16 Cavalry army unit.
The search operation was continuing till afternoon with the help of armoured vehicles and helicopters.
