Chennai : Madras High Court yesterday stayed suspension of six Pondicherry University students in the wake of a ragging complaint by a girl student.
Passing interim orders on a petition by Vidya T Appukuttan and five others challenging the November 1 last order, Justice K K Sasidharan stayed its operation and directed the University Registrar to appear before him on November 28.
The Judge had earlier stayed the suspension of the girl student, a first year student of MA Mass Communication, who had complained of ragging by a senior male student.
The girl and six other students who supported her had been suspended by the university.
