Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, Jan 9 : Three persons were detained on Sunday by local police, after threatening e-mails were reportedly sent from the cafe to Delhi Police Commissioner B K Gupta and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Police has sealed the internet cafe, and have taken away the hard disk and data card for analysis, local media reported.
The cafe named Om Cyber was used by miscreants to send the threatening e-mails on December 25, police said.
Police spokesperson R K Mallik said the raid was conducted after Delhi Police forwarded the mails for necessary action.
Several people working inside the cafe rushed out as the police began searches. SP Hazaribagh Pankaj Kamboj is personally monitoring the operation.
Cafe owner Vikrant Krishna said, he had particularly carefully while giving his systems on hire. "I check their personal I-cards and make them enter their particulars on the register."
The Special Cyber Crime Cell has joined the investigation efforts.
