Hyderabad : Separatists leader Asiya Andrabi today dismissed allegations about having any connection with Islamic State as a concocted story.
The Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief said there was no connection between the separatists of Kashmir and the international terror group Islamic State and the allegations against her were “fabricated” and without basis.
“This is a concocted story and has nothing to do with me,” Andrabi told PTI.
The hardline women's separatist leader said this was not the first time that false charges were levelled against her. “We do not have any connections with any other group outside the state,” she claimed.
Three Hyderabad-based cousins, who allegedly planned to join “jihadi terror groups”, were picked up from Nagpur international airport while on their way to Srinagar, months after they were put under watch for being influenced by online ISIS propaganda.
The trio allegedly aspired to meet Andrabi using the name of their late uncle, former chief of Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), Syed Salahuddin.
