A woman lecturer was allegedly gang-raped by three teachers in Kadi taluka of Gujarat,following which she attempted suicide by consuming poison, police said on Tuesday, Mirror reported.
Police said, the 25-year-old victim works as a lecturer at Kalol Primary Teachers' College. The victim consumed poison at Kalol State Transport bus depot. Police said that she was rushed to a hospital where she is still unconscious.
In her suicide note, the lecturer said that she was gang-raped by three teachers over a period of eight months. Police said, the victim has alleged in her suicide note that Mukesh Patel, a primary school teacher in Narsinhpura village of Kadi, Dinesh Patel, a teacher at Sachana village and Ketan Thakar, a teacher at Bhankoda village primary school, gang-raped her.
Police said that the accused clicked her photographs in compromising position and later used them to blackmail her. The Kadi taluka police have detained Ketan, but Mukesh and Dinesh are still at large.
