Rajkot: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is brand ambassador of Gujarat tourism, would be in Bhuj on Friday for the shooting of promotional advertisements. Bachchan who had offered to endorse Gujarat's tourism is likely to stay in Gujarat for a week, sources said.
During his stay, Bachchan is likely to complete shooting at Bhuj, Dhola-Veera, Mandvi and Rann of Kutch in Kutch district.
The 67-year-old actor would fly to Junagadh district on May 31 and during his two days stay in Junagadh he will visit famous Somnath temple and Gir forest. 'Sinh Sadan' in forest of Gir has been decorated where Bachchan is likely to stay, sources added.
Bachchan had to face criticism from Left parties and Congress, after he had agreed to become brand ambassador for Gujarat Tourism. Kerala Tourism had also offered him to become brand ambassador but backed off after dictats from CPI(M) bigwigs.
The actor had said that he has agreed to be brand ambassador of Gujarat Tourism, but not of any chief minister. PTI
