Srinagar: Nine people, five of them police personnel, were injured today in a grenade attack by suspected militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, officials said.
Some unidentified ultras hurled a grenade on a police patrol at Muran Chowk in Pulwama town, 32-km from here, at around 4 pm, they said.
Five policemen were among nine people injured in the grenade attack, the officials said.
The entire area was immediately cordoned off and the injured were rushed to hospital, the officials said adding a hunt was on to nab the militants involved in the attack.
No militant outfit has claimed responsbility for the attack so far.
