New Delhi, June 3: The media was made to scurry from one 'hotspot' to the other in the national capital chasing the entourage of Baba Ramdev and Union Ministers before the two sides started their fresh round of talks to further discuss the demands raised by the yoga guru.
The confusion to locate the actual place of the meeting between the Yoga guru and senior ministers Kapil Sibal and Subodh Kant Sahay began as soon as Ramdev left Ramlila maidan with no information on his destination.
Media personnel first rushed to the Golf Links after the buzz that the meeting was to take place in a guest house only to find out that the information was as better as a wild goose chase. The media troops then left for Hotel Claridges after getting the information that participants of the talks and their associates were closeted there.
As a group of journalists kept waiting in the hotel for some information on the talks, the security staff asked them either to "order" some eatables or leave the waiting area.
As media personnel protested about the behaviour of the staff, Ramdev's staff intervened and asked the hotel staff to be patient with the waiting journalists. Soon a posse of Delhi Police personnel arrived at the hotel after being called by the hotel security staff, only to advise the staff not to escalate the matter as the meeting would end soon.
"We were not being allowed to even sit at the hotel. We just waited at the ground floor to see that the meeting finishes and we can get some information," a journalist said. A convoy of TV broadcast vans also swooped around the hotel but the cameramen were not allowed to enter the premises by the security personnel.
The media personnel who were curious to obtain some information on the secretive meeting were also found to be rushing between the two hotel gates to check if the meeting was still on or has finished. PTI
