Girls outdo boys in ISC Class 12 examination

New Delhi: Girls have once again outperformed boys in this year's class XII examination conducted by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the results of which were declared today.In all, 96.58 per cent

The class X ICSE results will be declared on May 21.

Giving region-wise analysis break-up of the pass percentage of the class XII results, chief executive and secretary of CISCE Gerry Arathoon said the southern region posted the best pass percentage at 98.32 per cent followed by Western region which had a pass percentage of 95.74 per cent.

The ISC examination was conducted in 48 written subjects of which 14 are Indian languages and 5 are foreign languages.

Arathoon said girls also did better in the Delhi/NCR region where the total pass percentage stood at 97.41 percent.

Shivam Garg from St Joseph Academy, Ghaziabad and Anaqat Kamboj of Sri Ram School, Gurgaon topped the region scoring 98.25 per cent.
