Ghaziabad: Bus falls from Bhatia Modh flyover, 3 seriously injured

Many people feared injured after a bus fell from Bhatia Modh flyover in Ghaziabad on Wednesday. As per initial reports, the police is present at the spot and a rescue operation is underway.

Many people feared injured after a bus fell from Bhatia Modh flyover in Ghaziabad on Wednesday. As per initial reports, the police is present at the spot and a rescue operation is underway.

It was a private bus which was taking employees of a company from Noida. A bike rider and two children were seriously injured after being hit by the bus when it fell down.

"The bus was coming from Noida to Ghaziabad carrying 7-8 passengers. It fell from Bhatia Modh flyover due to tyre explosion. A two-wheeler got trapped under the bus. 3 people are seriously injured," Pawan Kumar, Ghaziabad SSP said.

A couple of days ago, three people had died and five were injured in a head-on collision between a tempo traveller and a tractor-trolley in Haryana's Karnal district.

The tempo traveller mini-bus was carrying eight people, seven of whom were employees of a factory in Karnal, they said.

The driver of the sand-laden tractor-trolley fled after the accident, he said over the phone.
