Ghaziabad, July 21 : Sachin Choudhary, a councillor of the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was found murdered in the Loni area of Ghaziabad on Thursday night.
Chaudhary was the councillor from Ward No. 10 of Loni Nagar Palika Parishad.
The incident occurred around 9 pm when Choudhary was inside his car with two other persons who fired two shots at him.
Both the assassins walked away after killing him. Choudhary was later rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.
Chaudhary was found in a pool of blood on the driver's seat of his car parked on the Delhi-Saharanpur Road, outside Punjab & Sind Bank in Indirapuri Colony of Loni.
The body was found hit with two gun shots – one in the temple and the other on the left side of his head, police said.
Sachin was a cable operator by profession and was said to be involved in a dispute over the territory distribution of cable TV network.
Around one and half months back, he was attacked by a group of men who opened fire on him. He, however, survived the attack and had got an FIR registered against some local people.
Superintendent of Police (City) J.K. Shahi, who reached the spot, said, ‘We are investigating the matter. It seems to be a case of rivalry.'
