Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday decided to provide free transportation facility to milk producers of Ghazipur district for supplying their product to Varanasi.
During a review of Rajya Krishi Utpadan Mandi Parishad the chief minister directed the parishad to ensure necessary arrangements, an official release issued here said.
The decision would benefit a large number of milk producers in the area.
Akhilesh said that providing market for the produce of farmers and other facilities to them was the responsibility of the mandi parishad.
He said that the government was committed to increase income of the farmers through agriculture and allied activities.
