New Delhi: Former President A P J Abdul Kalam's office on Monday dismissed rumours about the ill health of the octogenarian scientist.
A news report quoted Kalam's private secretary saying that the rumours have been doing rounds about the nuclear scientist ill health.
He rejected the reports and said someone is playing mischief.
The former President resides at No 10, Rajaji Marg in New Delhi and is active as ever replying to hundreds of emails on a daily basis.
He has been teaching and touring since demitting office as the President in July 2007.
The 82-year-old is regarded as the father of his country's space programme and in recent years, has campaigned to highlight the plight of India's rural poor, advocating the use of technology to address social and economic inequalities.
