Sajjad says he does not remember the exact location of his ancestral home. He asked Jalandhar advocate Navtej Singh Toor to help locate his house. Toor went around the locality and found three locations, one of which will be identified by Sajjad on Monday, before leaving home in the noon via Wagah border.
Sajjad's grandfather Sheikh Mohammad Sharif was a lawyer in Jalandhar during British rule. He later become a Judge in the Lahore High Court in 1943.
Toor, a former chairman of the Punjab and Haryana Bar Council, visited Suraj Ganj on Saturday.
Jalandhar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Paramjit Singh will receive Sajjad in Jalandhar on Monday morning.
