New Delhi, March 15: Four constables and a havaldar of Delhi Police have been suspended after it was found that the five policemen, who were accompanying the minister of state Sachin Pilot in two escort cars, to a party at Aurangzeb Road on Friday, vanished when the minister came out of the party.
Sachin Pilot, who enjoys Z category security, sources said, was stunned when he came out of the venue to find that his escort cars had vanished alongwith the the armed policemen.
He coolly returned to his home in his car, driven by his driver and then rang up the Delhi Police Commissioner B K Gupta. The entire staff of the minister's security has been replaced and the five policemen have been suspended.
People enjoying Z category security are assigned three personal security officers, two head constables, eight constables, one escort and a pilot vehicle, while those enjoying Z Plus category get six personal security officers, two head constables, twleve constables, one escort vehicle and a pilot vehicle.
