Two persons were charred to death and six received burn injuries when a fire broke out in a liquor factory in a village in Ambala district of Haryana on Wednesday.
All the victims were employees of the factory located in Badholi village, some 30-km from here, police said.
Four huge tanks containing lakhs of litres of spirit caught fire which engulfed the factory premises, they said adding firefighters were still battling the leaping flames.
Two bodies, charred beyond recognition, had been recovered, police said. The extent of damage suffered by the factory could run into crores of rupees, sources said.
The cause of the blaze was yet to be ascertained, police said. PTI
