Poonch: A government building was partially damaged in an explosion in the border district of Poonch in Jammu division in the wee hours, police said here today.
The explosion occurred around 1:15 am in the building, housing the office of Naib Tehsildar in Balakote area of Poonch district, they said adding, the explosive device is believed to have been planted by some suspected persons.
The rooftop of the building and some rooms were damaged under the impact of the blast, they said, adding no one was injured in the incident.
SSP-Poonch Shamsheer Hussain said a team of police officers has been deputed to the area for investigation. So far no one has been arrested, he added.
