Earthquake of magnitude 3.2 hits Himachal Pradesh; no damage reported

Earthquake in Himachal Pradesh: An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter Scale hit Himachal Pradesh at 5:17 am on Saturday.

According to National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre of the quake was 22 km east of Dharamshala. It should be noted here that no damage and destruction have been reported so far. 

"Earthquake of Magnitude:3.2, Occurred on 14-01-2023, 05:17:15 IST, Lat: 32.25 & Long: 76.56, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 22km E of Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh (sic), the NCS wrote on Twitter. 

This comes a day after an earthquake of 2.9 on the Richter scale hit Uttarkashi, around 200 km away from Joshimath in Uttarakhand. 

Further details are awaited.
