Chandbali (Odisha): A seven feet-long dolphin was rescued by local villagers on Sunday near Chandijore under Madhapur panchayat of Chandbali block of Bhadrak district in Odisha.
Weighing over 80 kg, the dolphin was found at the mouth of Salandi tributary bear Badasingharpur village.
Villagers noticed the dolphin playing in the river, and immediately informed the local Chandbali forest range staff.
The dolphin was rescued from Chandijore, loaded on a tractor, and released in Salandi river near Dhanakhania ghat, 8 km away.
