The mortal remains of the missing Dogra Regiment jawan Karam Chand will be handed over to his family in Panchrukhi, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, on July 14, 48 years after the India-China War of 1962.

Only Karam Chand's nephew Jaswant Katoch is the living member in his family. Jaswant is posted with Seema Sashastra Bal on the Bhutan border.  

The jawan's body was discovered after the glacier melt in Arunachal Pradesh and the Border Road Organisation workers went there to build a road.
