Delhi Shahbad Dairy murder case: The Police have recorded the statements of three friends of the victim, while the murder weapon is yet to be recovered. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded the death penalty for the accused Sahil.
Delhi Shahbad Dairy murder case: A court here on Thursday extended the custodial interrogation of the accused in the Shahbad Dairy murder case for three days. Due to security reasons, Sahil (20) was produced at the duty metropolitan magistrate's residence, court sources said. Sahil stabbed 16-year-old Sakshi over 20 times and bludgeoned her to death with a concrete block in public view in Shahbad Dairy area of northwest Delhi on Sunday evening. She had 34 injury marks on her body and her skull was smashed, according to police. Sahil was arrested from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh and brought to the national capital late on Monday evening. Duty Metropolitan Magistrate Jyoti Nain had on Tuesday permitted the police to quiz Sahil in custody for two days.

ABVP holds protest in Latur, condemns inaction of onlookers
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on Thursday held a protest in Latur against the brutal murder of a 16-year-old girl in northwest Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area. She was stabbed to death on May 28 by a 20-year-old man with whom she reportedly was in a relationship earlier. The ABVP protest was held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk with functionaries of the student organisation condemning the onlookers of the gruesome incident for not overpowering the man and saving the minor girl. The incident and the way the people who can be seen in the video behaved is disgraceful, ABVP 'mahanagar mantri' Sushant Ekorge said.

Sahil's police remand extended for 3 days
16-year-old girl murder case in Delhi | "We presented Sahil before the Court today and extended his remand because we need to collect some more evidence in the investigation. So, we were granted 3-day Police custody. He was presented before Duty MM (Duty Magistrate)..," said Ravi Kumar Singh, DCP Outer North.

Accused Sahil allegedly threw away the knife he used to kill Sakshi into the bushes at Rithala. The knife is yet to be recovered, a police officer said.

The FIR registered by the police in connection with the brutal murder of Sakshi by her boyfriend to death in Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area, reveals that her father was aware about their affair. The deceased's father Jankak Raj mentioned in the FIR, "She would often talk about him, and we would advise her that it's not appropriate at her age. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Ravi Kumar Singh said that the police are looking at all aspects as the interrogation is underway. "We are looking at all aspects to connect the links.
