New Delhi: The office of Delhi Chief Electoral Officer yesterday conducted a meeting of its peace committee in Central Delhi in view to conduct peaceful assembly elections on December 4.
“The aim of the meeting was to ensure elections are conducted in peaceful manner in already identified critical polling stations of the area,” said an election officer.
The meeting was organised by District Election Officer (central) Ashima Jain and attended by senior police officers from Central District.
Jain said the meeting was first time conducted in central district although there was a tradition to hold such meeting in other districts.
