New Delhi: There was drama outside the Seemapuri police station on Monday evening, after Aam Aadmi Party supporters protested against the filing of a molestation case against newly elected AAP MLA Dharmendra Koli by the wife of a local Congress leader.
The Congress leader's wife filed a police complaint alleging that Koli and his supporters molested and misbehaved with other, a charge hotly denied by Koli.
On Monday morning, Koli had organised a victory procession from Nand Nagri at around 11:30 am with a musical band.
When the procession reached outside the Congress leader's residence, a scuffle ensued between Congress and AAP supporters.
A Delhi police officer said, it has been alleged that AAP supporters created a ruckus outside his house and they misbehaved with some women.
The Congress leader's wife and three other women were present inside the residence, when this incident took place.
"On the basis of the complaint, a case of molestation, outraging the modesty of a woman and unlawful assembly has been registered at Seemapuri pollice statio against newly elected AAP MLA Dharmendra Singh Koli and his supporters", a police official said.
Congress supporters blocked roads near Tahirpur Sarai and GTB enclave to protest against the incident.
