New Delhi: A 45-year-old employee of the Municipal Corporation of East Delhi was shot dead around 7 a.m. Thursday, a Delhi Police official said.
The victim, identified as Manoj, was working with the corporation as a sanitation worker. Two bullets were shot at him in a crowded market in east Delhi's Seemapuri area Thursday morning, the police official said.
He was rushed to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital nearby, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police suspect personal enmity was the motive for the attack, and are questioning neighbours and family of the victim.
