New Delhi: With an aim to provide relief to people living in builder houses, Delhi government has asked land owning agencies - including DDA and the civic bodies - to ensure builders register the properties and not indulge in builder buyer agreement.
Chief Secretary K K Sharma today held a meeting in this regard.
A senior government official said there were an estimated 200 towers on prime land in Delhi where developers were given land on lease by agencies like DDA, L&DO and MCD.
"The official also said there were several properties, including commercial and residential, are on lease but developers have sold and re-sold them to others through a mutual agreement with buyers, but they did not register property which has not only resulted in revenue loss to the government but even buyers have not got a proper title which often result in property dispute later.
