Crime in Delhi: In a shocking incident, at least four members of a family were stabbed to death in a house in the Palam area in the national capital on Tuesday night, November 22.
According to the Delhi police, the accused has been arrested, who allegedly murdered his father, mother, sister and grandmother. They further said the accused, identified as 25-year-old Keshav, is a drug addict. He was recently released from the Drugs Addiction centre.
The police said they got information about the incident on Tuesday night around 10:30 pm. After getting the information, they rushed to the spot and caught the accused who was trying to flee.
The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Kumar (42), Darshan Saini (40), Urvashi (22) and Deewano Devi (75).
The family members of the deceased said Keshav killed everyone within a span of half an hour. They said, first he killed his grandmother followed by his father and kept the body in the bathroom to avoid any suspicion. Keshav then went on to kill his mother who had just returned from her job and lastly he did the same to his sister, they added.
As per the primary investigation, the family quarrel seems to be the reason for the gruesome incident, the police said. Further investigation into the matter is underway, they added.
Earlier in October, a 25-year-old man was stabbed to death by three men in North East Delhi's Sunder Nagri. The incident took place on October 1 and the victim was identified as Manish. Later, all three accused were arrested.
