Delhi: A fire broke out on the sixth floor of Ginger Hotel in Delhi's Karkardooma area on Monday. Fire officials said that they received a call about a fire at 9:13 am. As many as 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
"The fire has been extinguished," said officials. They further said that no injuries were reported.
Just last month, a massive fire engulfed several shops in Bhagirath Palace market in the Chandni Chowk area. Fire officials said that a major part of the main building has been severely damaged.
According to reports, more than 50 shops were gutted in the fire that engulfed the wholesale market. The fire that broke out at one shop soon spread to adjacent ones, all dealing in supplying electrical appliances, officials said.
