Four people lost their lives, and two others were injured after a car collided with a truck on the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway on Thursday. The accident occurred early morning near the Pancheda Bypass in Nai Mandi area, according to police reports.
Cause of accident
The incident took place when seven individuals were travelling from Aligarh to Auli in an Ertiga car, which crashed into the rear of a truck. Circle Officer Rupali Rao confirmed the fatalities, identifying the deceased as Ratan (45), Bhola (30), Jugal (30), and Atul (26), all from Aligarh district.
Injuries and ongoing investigation
The two injured passengers were rushed to a hospital and are currently receiving treatment. Authorities are searching for the truck driver, who fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Further investigations are underway, and the road has been cleared for normal traffic flow.
Child among two dead in Budaun tractor-trolley accident
In a tragic accident in Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district, two people, including a three-year-old child, were killed after a tractor-trolley overturned and fell into a roadside ditch on Tuesday. The incident occurred at around 6 pm in Uparaela village, located in the Alapur area.
According to police reports, the driver, Charan Singh (34), was transporting building materials for Anokhe Lal, a local cement shop owner. Lal's three-year-old son, Siddharth, was also onboard. As Singh attempted to avoid a stationary truck and an oncoming motorcycle, he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn into a ditch.
Siddharth died on the spot, while Charan Singh was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The police are investigating further details of the incident.
