Delhi school Covid cases: One Schoolkid was sent on leave after being tested positive for COVID-19 along with a teacher at a private school in Delhi. Delhi reported 299 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, a jump of 118 per cent from the daily count recorded two days ago, while the positivity rate stood at 2.49 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that even though cases have increased, there is nothing to worry, "COVID cases have slightly increased, but no hospitalisation, so need not worry. Since Covid is there, we have to learn to live with it. A general (COVID)guideline to be introduced for schools tomorrow. 1 or 2 COVID cases (of kids), 1 teacher from school have been reported."
"I have got reports from a few schools in the past few days where parents have informed about their child testing positive. The education department will tomorrow issue guidelines to schools in this regard," he added.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar health department had also issued an advisory to schools as 10 more children tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total number of minors who got infected this week to over 20 in the district.
