New Delhi: A defiant Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today wrote an open letter to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung asking why the Solicitor General's opinion was sought when the draft Jan Lokpal Bill was not even sent to him for clearance.
In a strongly worded letter to the Lt Governor, Kejriwal opened it by offering apology saying he would be using strong words in the letter.
The chief minister then went on to ask the Lt Governor why the Solicitor General's opinion was sought when the elected government had not sent him the draft of the Jan Lokpal Bill was sent to him.
Kejriwal ended the letter by saying that he believed the Lt Governor's office was acting on behalf of the Union Home Ministry and the Congress party.
The Solicitor General has already opined that the draft Jan Lokpal Bill prepared by the AAP government would not stand legal scrutiny and would have to be rejected by the Centre.
In the morning, AAP leader Ashutosh, a former TV journalist, named the Lt Governor as a "Congress agent".
