Berhampur(Odisha): The residents of Gopalpur and district headquarters Berhampur, 16 km away, on Saturday night faced the brunt of nature's fury in the form of Cyclone Phailin for more than three hours from 9 pm
In the morning, the town of Gopalpur was a scene of devastation with hundreds of trees uprooted, electric boles bent under the impact of cyclone and thatched houses blown away.
Cellphone towers were also badly damaged disrupting communication with the affected areas.
