Cyclone Phailin moves towards Phulbani, Odisha, gradually weakens

New Delhi: The very severe cyclonic storm PHAILIN over Odisha moved northwards during past three hours with a speed of 20 kmph and lay centred  near Phulbani at around 5:30 am on Sunday, IMD reported.

New Delhi: The very severe cyclonic storm PHAILIN over Odisha moved northwards during past three hours with a speed of 20 kmph and lay centred  near Phulbani at around 5:30 am on Sunday, IMD reported.



The system will move northwards for some more time and weaken gradually into a cyclonic storm by Sunday noon and into a deep depression by  Sunday evening.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is lashing coastal Odisha as a result of the cyclonic storm.
