Cyclone Nisarga Updates: Severe cyclonic storm Nisarga made landfall near Alibaug in the coastal region of Maharashtra on Wednesday afternoon. Cyclone Nisarga caused heavy rains in Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts. Strong winds lashed the coastal region.
Cyclone Nisarga Updates: Severe cyclonic storm Nisarga made landfall in Alibaug in the coastal region of Maharashtra on Wednesday afternoon. Cyclone Nisarga caused heavy rains in Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts. Strong winds lashed the coastal region.
Cyclone Nisarga gradually lost its strength as it moved further inland and around 10 pm weakened to become cyclonic storm (from severe cyclonic storm).
PTI said that 3 people died as Cyclone Nisarga slammed the western coast of India.
Cyclone Nisarga is expected to weaken further in the early hours of Thursday. By late Wednesday, Cyclone Nisarga was headed towards Madhya Pradesh.
